It’s Time, Trudeau

With Chrystia Freeland’s resignation coming just hours before the government’s fall economic statement, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau looks to have run out of options.

The Liberals, after more than nine years in power, are in self-perseveration mode. This does not bode well at a time when Canada is facing a litany of challenges, from the threat of economy-wide tariffs to stagnating productivity, deepening polarization, and rising misinformation, among others.

These are serious and unfortunate times, and Trudeau is no longer up to the job. He should resign, let the Liberal leadership race (officially) begin, and enjoy a lavish life on the speaker circuit.
